Since the objective of this website is to expose evil in all forms, the reader may object to exposing evil when it also involves exposing people who are promoting evil or doing evil things. Certainly, all the evil on our planet involves people. One philosophy that evil people promote is that we cannot separate what people believe, promote or do from their personhood. Consequently, exposing their evil also condemns their personhood. This philosophical argument is used as a smokescreen to justify their evil beliefs and actions to insulate them from criticism. Believing this false narrative allows them to censure any and all criticism against them and the evil they embrace. Then they demonize those exposing their evil as perpetrators of “hate speech.” That is why we are making this disclaimer; so we can attack the evil without unnecessarily condemning the person.

That philosophy was rejected and denounced by Josh McDowell in his book titled “The New Tolerance” published in 1998. Since our beliefs and actions can change over time, connecting our beliefs to our personhood is invalid. We need to be able to separate one’s beliefs and actions as separate and distinct from their personhood. The book explained how people stretch liberty into license to tolerate any and all things except biblical Christian beliefs and then censor all criticism while making the accuser the evil messenger.

Although the bible admonishes us not to judge hypocritically in Matthew 7, it does admonish us to judge good and evil. 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 states:

Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

However, that does not include judging people’s motives or their standing with God. Consequently, we do not want to condemn people. That issue is addressed in John 3:17-20 which states:

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

Romans 1:18-32 describes that darkness and how we got to where we are. Verse 18 describes the conflict of interest we have with truth when we allow our lives to be controlled by unrighteousness. It states:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

Verses 19-20 explain that we have no excuse for not believing in God; they state:

19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

Verses 21-23 describes how they rejected God and replaced Him with idols of created things:

21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Verses 24-25 describe how God gave them over to unclean lusts:

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Verses 26-27 describe how God gave them over to another evil, homosexuality:

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Verses 28 describes God gave them over to another degradation, a debased mind:

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Verses 29-31 describe their characteristics and attributes at this last stage of their depravity:

29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

Finally, verse 32 addresses how those that approve of those things are at least equally guilty as those that do those things. This is what we are seeing in our world today; the demand that we approve of all the evil beliefs and desires:

32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

This short biblical text addresses perfectly what has gone wrong with America and our world
